Beliefs
Jehovah's Witnesses believe in three main different beliefs. They believe in God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and the Bible. They believe that God is the only true God. They believe is personal name is Jehovah. Also they believe that Jehovah exists alone and is above everything. Lastly they believe that Jehovah created everything through Jesus Christ who is his son. Jehovah's Witnesses also believe that Jesus is the son of God. They also think that Jesus is a separate being and he is a mighty being but not equal to Jehovah. Jesus was created by Jehovah and since he had a beginning so he cannot be eternal. They believe that Jesus sacrificed himself on a stake to make human salvation. Also Jesus had a spirit resurrection and will decide the fate of all humans after they die. They say that the holy spirit is not a person or part of a trinity they say the holy spirit is just used by Jehovah to carry out his will. Jehovah's Witnesses believe that the Bible was inspired by Jehovah and is historically accurate. They interpret it literally but they use their own translation of it called the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures. Witnesses believe that when a person dies their existence completely stops. Also they do not believe in a hell in the afterlife. They believe that the anointed will spend eternity in Heaven with Jehovah. The anointed know that they are chosen by God and also they are the only ones who participate in the taking of bread and wine. Witnesses believe that all other good people will spend eternity on earth in paradise. Jehovah's Witnesses don't believe in participating in any sport or activity that could potentially harm them. They strongly disapprove of gambling, lying, and stealing.
