They claim to be in the world but not of the world.
They also refuse military service and voting in elections.
They don't participate in many secular holidays such as birthdays, Christmas, or Easter.
All Witnesses who are capable participate in missionary work.
Much of their missionary work includes going door to door and telling others about the gospel to convert them to the Jehovahs Witnesses.
An older experienced Jehovah's Witness may spend 70 hours a month witnessing.
The only main holy day that is recognized is the Memorial of Christ's Death which takes place on the anniversary of the Last Supper.
Witnesses avoid eating the flesh of animals.
Witnesses should avoid forms of entertainment that could soil their minds.
Drunkenness, lying, gambling, and stealing is highly frowned upon.
Witnesses meet weekly in a Kingdom Hall (their church) as a congregation and usually contains about 200 members.
